New York Metro Area attorney Mark T. Sadaka, MSPH founder of Law Offices of Sadaka Associates was named by New York Metro Super Lawyers & Rising Stars as one of the top up-and-coming attorneys in the New York Metro Area for 2011. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state receive this honor.
“I am honored to be selected for the New York Metro Rising Star list for 2011. The real honor, however, is representing our clients, who trust us to represent them everyday.”
The selections for this list are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal division based in Eagan, Minn. Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good- standing and disciplinary check.
“The fact that New York Metro Area Super Lawyers & Rising Stars is based on peer recognition makes this special because lawyers throughout the New York Metro Area were asked to name those they consider to be at the top of their practice.”
Mark Sadaka is an accomplished trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex litigation, consumer protection, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation, medical malpractice, product liability and toxic tort.
Born in Brooklyn, NY Mark Sadaka knew from a young age that he wanted to help others. While attending Penn State University he worked with AIDs patients in an infectious disease department of a large hospital. During this experience, Mr. Sadaka witnessed mistreatment and misunderstanding of these vulnerable patients. This further fueled his desire to help those who cannot help themselves.
After college, Mr. Sadaka earned a Master of Science in Public Health degree from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with specialization in toxicology and risk assessment. While at Tulane he served as a science advisor for Tulane’s Environmental Law Clinic. This experience coupled with his inherent need to help the sick was the determining factor in Mr. Sadaka’s decision to pursue the practice of law.
Mr. Sadaka went on to earn his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis where he served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Policy. During law school, Mark Sadaka was designated a Public Service Scholar with Highest Distinction for his commitment to public service.
